In June 2016, the first NWA-based Vistage Chief Executive Group was launched by the late Terry Bowen.  It was an exciting time given it was a new product, in a new market.  It didn’t take long for that Group to expand to its capacity and to be recognized for its success.  New relationships were formed among its non-competing Members on both personal and professional bases.

In mid-2017, Terry saw a demand that would quickly outstrip supply of his time and Chuck Hyde agreed to become the second Chair in NWA.  A wonderful partnership was formed which was designed to serve Members’ needs first.

In October 2017, the two Chairs launched their first Key Executive Group – which expanded quickly to its capacity.  The format exists as a hybrid group of business owners, CEOs, and senior executives who are one step away from leading their companies.

Early on, Terry was honored with two awards from Vistage based on his Chair performance: Rookie of the Year for 2017 and the Chair Excellence Award for 2018. A year later, Chuck was also honored as the 2018 Rookie of the Year.

In November 2018, the two launched a second Key Executive Group to meet an increase in demand, and Chuck would go on to also receive the Chair Excellence Award for 2019. After co-chairing alongside Chuck for over a year, Terry Bowen unexpectedly passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident in August of 2019. He leaves behind a loving wife and four children and was 61 years of age.
